General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for the Event B-Safe26

§ 1 Scope and Conclusion of Contract
(1) These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all legal relationships between CDKW MEDIA FZCO (hereinafter “Organizer”) and the participants (hereinafter “Participants”) in connection with the event B-Safe26 (hereinafter “Event”). The Organizer is not a tour operator within the meaning of Sections 651a et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB) and does not offer package travel services.
(2) Tickets are sold exclusively via the platform Ticket-Tailor. The contract is concluded upon completion of the booking process and receipt of payment. The Participant accepts these GTC at the time of booking.
(3) Any deviating or supplementary terms of the Participant require the written consent of the Organizer.
§ 2 Description of Services
(1) The Organizer’s services are limited exclusively to the execution of the conference day on November 6, 2026, at Palais Niederösterreich, Vienna, Austria, including presentations, networking, and catering during breaks.
(2) Travel, accommodation, and additional services (e.g. transfers) are not included and are the responsibility of the Participant. The Organizer assumes no liability for any related costs.
§ 3 Participation Requirements
(1) Participants must be of legal age (at least 18 years) and comply with applicable entry requirements for Austria.
(2) The Organizer reserves the right to exclude Participants from the Event without refund in the event of a violation of applicable law, in particular Austrian law, or these GTC.
§ 4 Fees and Payment Terms
(1) The participation fee is due at the time of booking via Ticket-Tailor.
(2) Payments are made via the payment methods offered by Ticket-Tailor (e.g. credit card). In the event of default in payment, CDKW MEDIA FZCO reserves the right to revoke participation.
§ 5 Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation
(1) Right of withdrawal for EU consumers: In the case of online bookings, a 14-day right of withdrawal generally applies under EU consumer protection regulations. However, this right does not apply to leisure events with a fixed date (Section 312g (2) No. 9 BGB and corresponding Austrian regulations). The Participant will be informed of this during the booking process.
(2) Cancellations by the Participant are excluded after completion of the ticket purchase. Tickets are neither refundable nor transferable unless CDKW MEDIA FZCO agrees in writing. The Organizer recommends taking out event cancellation insurance.
§ 6 Cancellation, Postponement and Force Majeure
(1) The Organizer reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the program (e.g. replacement of speakers), provided that the overall nature of the Event is not materially affected.
(2) If the Event is cancelled or postponed for reasons attributable to the Organizer, participation fees already paid will be refunded via the booking platform. Any further claims, in particular for travel or accommodation expenses, are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
(3) In the event of force majeure, i.e. events beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control that materially hinder, endanger or render the Event impossible, the Organizer shall be entitled to cancel, postpone or modify the Event format.
Force majeure includes, but is not limited to:
natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, governmental orders, war, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, failure of infrastructure or energy supply, or other unforeseeable events of a similar nature.
(4) In cases of force majeure, there shall be no entitlement to damages. With regard to participation fees, the following shall apply:
• In the event of postponement, tickets shall remain valid for the rescheduled date.
• If participation in the rescheduled Event is not possible, the Organizer may, at its sole discretion, offer rebooking or a credit.
• Refunds shall only be made where required by mandatory law.
(5) The Organizer will inform Participants without undue delay by email of any material changes, cancellations or postponements.
§ 7 Rights to Content and Prohibition of Photo and Video Recordings
(1) By participating, the Participant agrees that the Organizer and third parties commissioned by the Organizer may create and use photos and videos of the Event (including breaks) for promotional, documentation, and reporting purposes. Participants may not publish or make available their own recordings to third parties without the Organizer’s prior written consent.
(2) The creation of photo or video recordings by Participants is expressly prohibited throughout the entire Event, including breaks. Violations may result in exclusion from the Event without refund.
(3) Objections to the use of content relating to the Participant (e.g. right to one’s own image) may be submitted in writing (office@cdkwmedia.com).
§ 8 Participant Obligations
(1) Participants undertake to use the Event properly and to comply with applicable laws in Austria as well as these GTC. Violations may result in exclusion without refund.
(2) The house rules of Palais Niederösterreich must be observed; any violations are the sole responsibility of the Participant.
§ 9 Liability
(1) The Organizer shall only be liable for gross negligence or intent. Liability for travel, accommodation, health-related risks, or indirect damages is excluded.
(2) Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel or event insurance.
§ 10 Final Provisions
(1) Amendments to these GTC must be made in writing. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder shall remain unaffected.
(2) The law of the United Arab Emirates shall apply, unless this conflicts with mandatory consumer protection provisions of the Participant’s country of residence. The place of jurisdiction is Dubai, where legally permissible.
